Terms of use

Two things live on this page: the terms under which you use this website, and the trading terms that apply when we carry out a repair. Both are written to be read, not to be survived.

Who operates this site

Northeast Florida Appliance Service, an independent appliance repair company working in and around Jacksonville, FL. Roughly a 40-mile working radius from the Jacksonville core. We are a mobile service business with no walk-in premises, which is why no street address is published here.

Brand names on this site

Northeast Florida Appliance Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any of the manufacturers named on this site. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.

Manufacturer names appear in plain text, in this site's own typeface, solely to describe the appliances we repair. No manufacturer logo, wordmark, brand typeface or brand colour scheme is used anywhere on this site, and nothing here should be read as a claim of appointment, endorsement or approval by any manufacturer.

The information here is general

The guides, symptom lists and regional figures on this site describe patterns we see. They are not a diagnosis of your appliance and not a substitute for one. Climate and storm figures are drawn from public records and can change. Where we are not certain something exists we describe the symptom instead of naming a part or a code.

Do not attempt work on a gas connection, a sealed refrigeration system or fixed wiring on the strength of anything written here. Sealed-system work is federally restricted and is carried out by an EPA Section 608 certified technician.

Trading terms

  • $129 flat diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair when you approve the work.
  • You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor begins. Nothing proceeds without your approval.
  • 90 days on labor, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only. Warranty scope and exclusions are set out on the warranty page.
  • Appointments are scheduled: Mon–Fri 8–6 · Sat 9–4. We do not offer 24-hour or emergency service and make no claim to.
  • Payment is due on completion. Accepted: cash, check, credit card, debit card.
  • Access is your responsibility. Where an appliance is built into cabinetry, removing it can disturb flooring, panels or plumbing that were installed around it; we will point that out before proceeding.

Limits

We are liable for the work we carry out and for the parts we fit, on the terms above. We are not liable for spoiled food, for consequential loss arising from an appliance being out of service, for damage caused by a power event before or after our visit, or for the condition of an appliance that has been worked on by someone else since.
