Equipment we repair

Five categories, and the regional stressors do not attack them the same way. 75 percent mean relative humidity, a long heat-rejection season, salt on the coast and about 68 thunderstorm days a year each find a different part to work on.

  • Dominant stressor · Humidity

    Built-in refrigeration

Panel-ready refrigeration is sealed into cabinetry in a climate that runs a 70-degree dew point for five months. The failures follow from that.

  • Dominant stressor · Heat load

    Ice machines

An ice machine runs a freeze cycle and a harvest cycle against a Florida summer. Which of the two has stopped working decides the whole diagnosis.

  • Dominant stressor · Humidity

    Dishwashers

Half the dishwashers we are called to are working correctly and installed badly. Telling those two apart is the first thing the diagnostic does.

  • Dominant stressor · Power loss

    Wall ovens and ranges

An oven that bakes long is a measurement problem first. We probe the cavity through a full cycle before deciding what, if anything, is broken.

    Cooktops and ventilation

Ventilation is a humidity control device here, not just a smoke extractor. When it stops capturing, the refrigerator three feet away notices.

Not sure which category you have?

Describe the symptom rather than the diagnosis. "The freezer is fine and the refrigerator is warm" narrows a built-in unit to one sealed circuit. "The glasses came out chalky" is a water question before it is a dishwasher question. "It stopped the morning the power came back" is an electronics question. We would rather sort that out on the phone than send a technician to the wrong appliance.
